Version 4.4....I have done this before with previous versions that I did not have this issue with.
Copied just the root drive "C:" to a network location...69 GB of data, everything EXCEPT the user profile folder. But it copied all the other Documents and Settings directories. Does it have to do with a character name limit? This particular user directory was called "The Johnson Family" so there were spaces in between.
I didn't bother to check the user data since I figured 69 gig's of stuff, that has to be everything LOL.
Then of course I already formatted and installed Windows and programs and updates and everything....goto copy the data back, and the user profile folder is gone.
I demand a refund! Kidding....I still use unstoppable copier, but this has shaken my faith just a little bit...just goes to show always double check your backup when it comes to computers and data. |

| | It's simpler than that: File/folder permissions.
If Windows refuses access to a folder due to file permissions, from my experience, Unstoppable copier will skip it. This is a limitation of Windows and Unstoppable Copier can be considered to be functioning normally, IMO.
To work around this: Try running Unstoppable Copier as administrator. (ie, right click, "Run as Administrator") or run it from safe mode. If those don't work, then you will have to "take ownership" of the folder Unstoppable copier skipped. There's probably guides online for how to do that. |
