I am trying to create images for a test server (WinXP currently) using the diskimage program from a bootable CD (ubcdwin). Storing the image seems easy as pie (I am storing Drive C currently but think I will be switching this to Disk 0)

Anyhow I have a few disks that are all the exact same manufacture and size. What I don't understand is how to write the image back. I looked for a readme but I don't see one. I read the previous posts and there was mention of it requiring another application to write the image (http://www.truecrypt.org/) but that seems odd

I have all these great images stored but I have no idea how to write them back to the drive when needed.

Any help would be appreciated and of course thank you for the products and work you have done.

Hi there... if you are going ot image an entire disk to anothe ryou really need to do the physical drive instead (Disk 0 etc). This is because the partition for the logical drive wont be created yet. If you do the entire physical disk it will recreate the partitions for you and make an exact copy on the new drive.

Let me know if you need any more info!

Cheers!
