My installation of Windows XP messed up so I'm in the process of temporarily moving all my files to a hard drive in another computer.

I took ownership of every file on my drive, and I made every file not read only, but Windows still comes up with an error saying, "The file can't be moved" on a couple of files when I try to copy them using the normal way.

Then, I have to start the copying process over again because it encountered the error about how they can't be moved.

With Unstoppable Copier, the same problem is happening, but instead of having to start over the files are skipped. :-(

The files aren't corrupt. I just want all the security premission removed or whatever is keeping me from moving gone so I can keep my stuff.

Hi there.... very strange these files are skipped! Unfortuantely this is a very hard one to give you an easy solution too.. i do know if you use something like File Restore Professional at www.pcrecovery.co.uk it should bypass all security and copy the files as it uses its own file system interpreter instead of windows to open files which means it bypasses security!
