| | 1. Dos versions and able to use bios detection or not bios for hdd. Able to also support usb and other devices (if uses has mounted the drive using dude, usbaspi or other). Full int support for all drives in dos.
2. For bad sectors ability for disk Image.
Skip bad sectors with
a. Timeout (milliseconds)
b. Retries
Keep track of Known Bad sectors in a db file.
a. use db later for applying higher values for Retries and Timeouts.
b. Retries and Timeouts later tried uses db file on those known bad sectors only. To fill in data blanks in missing image
3. Ability to do 'End of Drive First' reverse clone to image file. Since reverse clone can many be better than forward imaging on bad sectors.
I know others would also add to these, and is welcome. Then we have a compentant disk clone and imaging software(s) for use with desktop and dos.
4. Dos version works without chkdsk and other such rubbish.
Grphical display for both desktop and dos would be nice. If doesn't harm cpu usage for software. Display like vopt (defragment tool) full screen in dos and resizeable window for desktop. |

5. Disk Image able to ignore any sectors without data (zero sectors).
Only noted for example a newer TB drive with little use. How to back up, and why also backup unused sectors (bloat image .img file).
Unkown how you would do this. Since the .img file has to be also available to use with other softwares that supports loading of .img files. |
