I recently ran into some HD issues on one of my archive drives. Thankfully most of this 2tb hard drive is back up but there are some folders containing 40-50gigs of data that are not backed up anywhere.

After trying a few other conventional methods I stubled upon RAW copy and I've given it a try.

The drive will sometimes mount, but not always. Folders can be seen. Some files can be copied however things slow down and then error out on my mac and my pc.

While using Raw Copy 1.2 I am getting a ton of errors but not the kind of errors I was expecting.

The source disk is the problem one. The Target disk is a fresh drive of equal size, brand and model. I have attached an image showing my current status.

Why am I getting write errors? The new disk works perfectly. I can create folders and put files on it just fine. Any ideas on what is going on?

If any one knows the answer to these questions I encourage you to pitch in. Thanks in advance!

This ones very weird! Im not sure why would you get an error on teh target unless its locked by another application? Also, try right clicking on the program icon and "Run As Administrator" just to make sure its not an access issue.

Cheers!
