I had used a recovery program(GetDataBackNTFS)to make an image of a hard drive, and was trying to use disk image to restore the image to the drive. it finished with an error stating: disk error-error #158 occured while writing to disk at sector 40017792. Disk image said it was 100% complete, but the drive had not been written to.

Hi there.... very strange! Error 0 actaully means that there was no error found!

Do you definatley have admin rights to the computer? It could be blocking the disk write access!

I had admin rights to the computer. I was performing the image from another computer than what the hd was from, don't know if that makes a difference. In the end though, the hard drive was too corrupt to do anything with. I used a new hd and fresh install. Thanks for the help, and the awesome programs. We all appreciate your work!
