Hi,
I have a question about Rawcopy if I may. I have a disk that is shown as failing by SMART so I bought a replacement hard drive. I made a partition of the replacement disk using UBCD4Win and named it drive D:. I am trying to use Rawcopy to copy the failing drive to the new drive and have it boot without any problems. The old drive's letter was C: but i can't name the new drive C: while the old one is named C:. Will this work? I don't know how the information flow works on a hard disk at boot time.
Thank you,
Preston

basically your bios should let you choose which physical disk is the boot up disk.. So if you copy the data across, set your new hard disk up as the boot drive and make sure the partition you just copied the old drive too is the drive marked with the "boot" flag it should start up as before...
