Hello,
I have Windows XP Professional SP 3 installed.
For some reason the boot.ini was crashed and diddn't work anymore.
I used UBCD for fixing.
When I start my computer, this information shows up:
"Boot sector created with BootBuild from www.roadkil.net
This is not a bootable disk, please insert a bootable disk and press any key!"

My question, what to do next? I don't have a repair CD of Windows XP and I don't want to lose my current installation because then I will lose all my e-mails, documents and more...

Thanks for helping.

Hello

I'm having exactly the same problem as Kilian :(

I do have my Windows XP installation CD, but as Kilian says, I don't want to lose my current installation because of documents, photos, etc.

Please help

Ahh! Ok, i think the best option for you is if your using Windows Xp, you can boot up to the command line from teh CD adn use the FIXBOOT command. It will make your disk bootable again and restore the file system files needed to get things up and running!
