HI there .. defiantely sounds like a permissions problem. The thing to do is \"take ownership\" of the documents and settings before doing a transfer in this case. To do this, right click on the directory, choose the security tab, click advanced, go to the Owner tab, click Edit and select your user. Make sure you tick the \"replace owners on subcontainers and objects\". This will stop any access issues copying the data. However, it might be a problem if you go back to using the disk under XP as these folders will be owner by someone else. Hope that helps you!
